Heavy Was The Night

This song came about when reading 'Tender Is The Night' by F.Scott Fitzgerald, and almost mirrors the life of the book's lead character, Dick Diver, and the pain he was going through in relation to his wife. I wanted the song to have a lullaby quality to it, softly put together with a generous arrangement of strings and harmonies. It's one of my favourite recordings we've put out there, again a recorded largely in one take at Highbury Studios as part of then'Tightrope' sessions. Big shout to Anna on this one.
