This was my attempt at writing a seasonal song, without it being a song you can only play at said time of the year. I loved putting this track together, the mood that Billy (recording chief) helped capture really emphasised the feel of the track. It might have also had something to do with us recording it in winter, in a freezing cold hut. It was a really quick session, only taking two nights in total and I like that we didn't spend to long on it. As a band we have had the tendency of spending far too long on recordings, adding layer after layer and loosing grasp of the core of a track, this song I feel marked a shift in how we approached recordings from there on in.
