Working Class

from Songs 2009-2015 by Boat To Row

about

So this song is not about the working class, nor is it a political outburst. At least, that's not what I had in mind when I was writing it. This again was about the situation I saw myself in at the time. Just finished my studies yet felt stuck and trapped in my environment, going to the same pub, seeing the same faces, walking the same streets and feeling a little deflated. So the song really is a reaction in some way to the conformity of 'making do' and feeling 'to save', being stuck in a rut without realising it. I think musically it's a step in a different direction with Lloyd and Ben having a big say on the driving nature of the track, with everything played a bit louder than before.
